Best Post of the Week: Week Seventy-One

It's time to link in your best post of the week!

The purpose of this column is to make it easier to keep up with each other's blogs, so that even if we don't have time to read all of the Alabama Blogger blogs every day, at least we get the week's highlights.

So, link up, tell us why you linked that post, and let's start reading! And remember - the best way to get new blogging friends is to comment on other people's posts, so be sure to say "hi" to your neighbors when you visit!

p.s. - please feel free to interpret "this week" as loosely as you like!

The latest in the #letsblogoff series- deciding whether or not there is a reason to be optimistic. Our take, Misery Loves Company happened to fall on my birthday.

Happy Friday!

I have three this week ...

4. Magic City Post - A welcome message for a new site that launched this week.

5. Wade on Birmingham - Alas, the Alabama contestant on "America's Next Top Model" stumbles.

6. Wade Kwon.com - A review of "KA" at Cirque du Soleil.

Looking forward to your posts.

I'm trying a new thing this week! Anytime I don't have enough for an entire post, I will post my "Mama's Mumblings"!

My post is a Thrifty Thursday post where I show how I took an item from a thrift store and revamped it. There's also a few thrifty links and some links to Halloween crafts/projects

I'm doing 13 Days of Hallowed Alabama. I hope to tell a little history through fact, fiction, or folk lore and also pair it with an activity or event going on in or around the city.

Found a little piece of folk art in Leeds and am refurbishing it because.....it looks like my MOM!

My best post of the week is a personal focus on outmigration. Sounds boring, but I tried to make it interesting! Over here in the rural Black Belt, we are losing our professionally trained kids even though most of them still love sweet home Alabama!

If you haven't linked up and introduced yourself yet, be sure to go here to do so!
