Best Post of the Week: Week 228

It's time to link in your best post of the week!

The purpose of this column is to make it easier to keep up with each other's blogs, so that even if we don't have time to read all of the Alabama Blogger blogs every day, at least we get the week's highlights.

So, link up, tell us why you linked that post, and let's start reading! And remember - the best way to get new blogging friends is to comment on other people's posts, so be sure to say "hi" to your neighbors when you visit!

p.s. - please feel free to interpret "this week" as loosely as you like!

We had a bit of drama this week, and I wrote about it.

The home invasion post was pretty funny - we had a bat outside our house one time.

My post is brought to you by a reader question - how did I find my first client?

I have been known to get ahead of myself or to get distracted. But even when I get in over my head, there is still hope.

Think about this: what if Birmingham became known not only as an awesome foodie destination city, but a best-case scenario for how a community came together to help make sure all its people were fed well, with nutritious, healthy food?

I have four to share this week ...

12. Birmingham Blogging Academy - An invitation to coffee and conversation.

13. Y'all Connect - Elements of the most compelling stories for your brand or blog.

14. Project Bulk - I've lost 9 pounds in 9 weeks using the Slow-Carb Diet.

15. Pinterest - Keep up with the places that matter around the Birmingham area.

Looking forward to your posts.

The Alabama punter who got two kicks blocked in the 1972 Iron Bowl was a high school teammate of the guy who ran them both in for touchdowns. We never dreamed of what might happen sitting at our table in the Woodlawn High cafeteria! But if I'd known they'd figure so prominently in a game that cost me a perfectly good girlfriend, I'd have slipped castor oil in their milk.

I bought my own domain name after being a subdomain on my friend's website! I blog about my life, and anything goes! I just recently relocated to Deatsville and am looking for like-minded individuals. :)

If you haven't linked up and introduced yourself yet, be sure to go here to do so!
