Best Post of the Week: Week Sixty-Seven

It's time to link in your best post of the week!

The purpose of this column is to make it easier to keep up with each other's blogs, so that even if we don't have time to read all of the Alabama Blogger blogs every day, at least we get the week's highlights.

So, link up, tell us why you linked that post, and let's start reading! And remember - the best way to get new blogging friends is to comment on other people's posts, so be sure to say "hi" to your neighbors when you visit!

p.s. - please feel free to interpret "this week" as loosely as you like!

My post is about reasons you might hide friends on Facebook. It was time to divulge my secret formula.

Don't read my post while eating. Especially spaghetti. Or Liver.

This week the #letsblogoff series takes on social media sites such as Facebook/Myspace and wonders if they encourage or discourage "real life" social activities.

Would love to see more Alabama folks chiming in on the bi-weekly series. There's a link to the #letsblogoff site on our post.

Happy Friday!

I shared four this week (because I'm greedy):

5. Media of Birmingham - Lessons from the demise of the Birmingham Post-Herald, 5 years ago this week.

6. Ignite Birmingham - This is a great new quarterly event, and I share some inspirational ideas for speaker applicants.

7. Wade on Birmingham - Perhaps the most important post I wrote this year: A look at the new Blueprint Birmingham economic development plan.

8. Sidewalk - Wade on Birmingham - If you're planning to go to the Sidewalk Film Festival, we have reviews and more from our team of bloggers.

Looking forward to your posts.

Hi Rachel - Couldn't get away from work to make the meet-up today and didn't know how to contact you to let you know. I couldn't get through to your blog's email address. I was so disappointed that I missed it. Look forward to next month.
