Best Post of the Week: Week 256

It's time to link in your best post of the week!

The purpose of this column is to make it easier to keep up with each other's blogs, so that even if we don't have time to read all of the Alabama Blogger blogs every day, at least we get the week's highlights.

So, link up, tell us why you linked that post, and let's start reading! And remember - the best way to get new blogging friends is to comment on other people's posts, so be sure to say "hi" to your neighbors when you visit!

p.s. - please feel free to interpret "this week" as loosely as you like!

Thanks as always! I'm on a mission to eradicate impostor's syndrome and change minds about success.

I have two to share this week ...

5. Y'all Connect - For those who missed our conference, here's a guide to what went down via Twitter.

6. Birmingham Blogging Academy - A blog post that's not a blog post, except it's a blog post.

Looking forward to your posts.

It's a great week to be a blogger in Alabama! So many wonderful summer things to explore!

We were recently contacted by RelayRides, a peer to peer car rental company, to write an article about a "hidden gem" in our area. We decided to write about Scottsboro, as it is sort of tucked away between mountains and many people have no idea it exists. So, we did and our blog traffic for that one post has been phenomenal. To put it in perspective, our facebook page shows almost 20,000 hits for that one post alone. Before that, the most facebook hits we had for ANYTHING was around 5,000 for a recipe we posted on facebook...not even on the blog. The post has also been shared more than 130 times...again a huge amount for us. Anyway, RelayRides asked me to share that they are looking for other bloggers to link up, so contact them if you are interested. I am in no way connected to the company. Just sharing my experience. Thanks!

Here's the post we wrote:
