I know that everyone doesn't like putting their blog in a niche, and that is CERTAINLY okay with me. However, it's also nice to find blogs in certain niches when you're looking for them, so I've decided to offer a new way to organize the Alabama Blogs: by category.
If you don't see the category that you feel that you fit in, let me know! I'll be glad to add it! However, if you do, simply add yourself to the appropriate linky, and be sure to check others out in your same category!
Feel free to add yourself to more than one category!!!
Art
Bargains/Shopping
Books
Cooking
Crafty
Decorating
Devotional/Religious
Gardening
Health
Hobbies: Genealogy
Humor
Law
Life
Local Interest
Mommy Blog
Photography
Politics
Small Business
Technology
Work At Home
Please let me know if you want me to add a new category - I'll be glad to!
I would fit in at least 3 categories.... :( what do I do??
ReplyDeleteAlso, what about a "Small Business" category? I think my wedding blog would fit into that!
Feel free to add yourself to as many categories as you want!! I'll add Small Business Now!
ReplyDeleteI was catching up on Twitter and saw your post. Though it seems ages since I have posted to any of my blogs. I plugged into several categories. With both my business blog and my daily blog. I did not plug into decorating with my daily blog, b/c I really do not consider myself a decorator... LOL! Thanks for doing this!
ReplyDeleteI added my photography blog (Spindle Photography) to the photography category and my personal blog, Dash Pinch Smidgen, to the local interest since I do local vendor features. it has a bit of a wedding theme, though.
ReplyDeleteSince I officially linked up as a Humor Blog, I should link to cooking and health as well. THAT would be funny.
ReplyDeleteYou are such an awesome blog administrator! You do Alabama proud.
I might think I'm the only one that is funny....so I skipped humor! ;-)
ReplyDeleteI added mine to small business and local interest :)
ReplyDeleteI think my potting skills alone qualify me for the Art Cat! LOL
ReplyDeleteI'm no longer an Alabamian, but just wanted to give a shout out for my Southern blog: www.sweeticedtea.net.
ReplyDeletehey! too bad there isn't a catagory for pop culture, but i'd put my blog under "life" and "humor"...
ReplyDeleteGrrrrrr. . . I messed up. I was trying to add myself to categories and just started hitting buttons (I really do know better!!) and went back to change my name to CraftyHope instead of just Hope and now my name is there TWICE in some categories. . .SORRY! I would like it to be Crafty Hope on both these pages and on The List is possible. As well, (am I asking too much?) I saw some of the bloggers had their twitter link there also. I'm CraftyHope on twitter so . . . whatever. Sorry for breaking your blog!
ReplyDeleteDear Bloggers,
ReplyDeleteI wanted to let you know about our affiliate network RevenueCurve.com. We specialize in branded name offers and many offers in the Pet niche. We have excellent offers with strong payouts per sale. If you are looking for ways to earn money by placing ads on your blog sites and are interested in learning about who we are and our offers, (which are many of the same products that run on TV.) We can set-up a call to discuss what might work for your site. I look forward to hearing back from you!
You can sign-up as a new affiliate here: http://affiliates.revenuecurve.com/signup
Thank you for your time,
Rachel, I made a boo-boo when entering RSS Birmingham in Local Interest. Chalk it up to not enough coffee this morning if you will but can you change my name to RSS Birmingham please?
ReplyDeleteHi Rachel,
ReplyDeleteI really was hoping that there would be some sort of Outdoors or nature category, but thats ok, I just tagged along in the Small Business group until there is one. Thanks for letting me list!
I like this!
ReplyDeleteLet me add, once again, how great I think this is!! I linked up for Mommy blogs and since I think I'm funny, I went ahead and signed up for humor too!!
ReplyDeleteJust added my tech blog... About to add my music / personal blog as well. :)
ReplyDeleteHi! I added myself to the "Life" and "Mommy" categories. I write about my life and journey as a Mommy, Wife, and a full time Employee outside the home!
ReplyDeleteHi! I added to Bargains/Shopping. I just found this site today while looking for other Birmingham Bloggers.
ReplyDeleteHow about a Homeschool category and a parenting or Family category :)Sorry if I missed it and you already have that. I signed up for mommy blog, but that really isn't the best fit :)Fantastic idea.
ReplyDeleteIt may not set a record for overall number of contributers, but would you consider adding an "agriculture/farming" category?
ReplyDeleteI added Lil' Red Bird BIG DEALS to the bargains/shopping category. I share Birmingham's "cheap, cheap" deals, near YOUR nest. I share Birmingham deals on Facebook & Twitter too.
ReplyDeleteI hope that Life is where I should have placed my blog. It is Gathering life; gardening, cooking, what I gather as I go thru life.
ReplyDeleteI placed us under the "local interest," but we would fit best under an "environment" or environmental issues" category.
ReplyDeleteIt's always fun to come here and see what other Alabama bloggers are up to. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteMaybe "Food" instead of "cooking," or a "Dining" category. Bhamdining.com is about local restaurants and food-related shopping (farmer's markets, beer and wine, etc.).
ReplyDeleteHi. I added myself to Photography and Local Interest. I have random posts.
ReplyDeleteI put my blog under Life, but I also blog about Fashion and Fitness/Running/Triathlon.
ReplyDeleteJust posted my blog. I'm excited that there's actually a place for Alabama bloggers to connect. http://thequietowl.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteNew to alabamabloggers.com! Linked in under books and life. :)
ReplyDeleteCould you add Horse blog? Or if that is too specific Animals? Sport? Pets?
ReplyDeleteI go on about other things, but I try to always tie a post back to my horse(s), other horses, events in the horse world, etc.
Thanks!
Katherine W.
I found 2 categories I could fit in. Could you add one for travel?
